Records: Grizzlies, 5-14 ; Hornets, 10-6.

Lineups

Grizzlies: Mike Conley, 6-1; O.J. Mayo, 6-4; Rudy Gay, 6-8; Darrell Arthur, 6-9; Marc Gasol, 7-1.

Hornets: Chris Paul, 6-0; Morris Peterson, 6-7; Peja Stojakovic, 6-10; David West, 6-9; Tyson Chandler, 7-1.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

It's been the Chris Paul Show in New Orleans. The point guard averages 20.6 points, 11.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game. Paul has had a steal in 100 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NBA. Paul is just five away from breaking Alvin Robertson's NBA record of 105 straight games with at least one steal. After leading the NBA in alley-oops last season, Paul and Chandler are at it again, leading the league with nearly 20 alley-oops. That more than doubles the total of the next-best tandem. Last season Paul and Chandler led the league with 106 alley-oops, more than 60 ahead of the next closest duo .

THE SKINNY

The Grizzlies were swept 4-0 by the Hornets last season but pushed New Orleans into overtime in two of those games. Memphis has dropped 10 of the past 11 contests in the series and trails 23-9 overall with a 3-13 road record. And while the Hornets are 8-0 when scoring 100-plus points, the Griz have the most road losses (nine) in the league this season.

THE QUOTE

"We are 29th in the league in rebounding and I really pointed to two guys. Tyson's rebounds are down about four a game and David's (West) are down about three a game. If they average just what they did last year at this time, we'll be seventh in the league." - Hornets coach Byron Scott on his team's performance on the boards .
