New Orleans Hornets Notes, Quotes 2008-12-04
--Starting shooting guard Morris Peterson returned Wednesday from a six-game absence due to a sore right knee. Rasual Butler continued to start in Peterson's place and Peterson came off the bench. Coach Byron Scott said he'll use that pattern for at least a couple of games.

--G Chris Paul was named the Western Conference Player of the Month from the start of the season in late October through November. Paul, who had 20 points and 10 rebounds in each of the first seven games of the season to set an NBA record, became the first Hornet to win the award three times.

--G Chris Paul extended his streak of games with at least one steal to 100 when he got one against the Suns. He has the longest streak in the NBA and is five games short of Alvin Robertson's NBA record.

--The Hornets, who finished 7-6 in November, have not had a losing record in any month since going 4-6 in March 2007.

--F Peja Stojakovic made his 300th three-pointer as a Hornet during the game against the Suns on Wednesday.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I'd probably be one of those people." -- G Chris Paul, on his reaction to people who are disappointed with the Hornets' inconsistent start despite a 10-6 record.
