--The Hornets made it official Friday, announcing that F Ike Diogu will miss the rest of the season because of an injured left knee that has sidelined him since training camp. He will undergo micro-fracture surgery on Tuesday in New York City. Diogu (6-foot-9, 250 pounds) signed with the Hornets as a free agent in the offseason. He has career averages of 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 187 career games with four teams (Golden State, Indiana, Portland, and Sacramento). --The Knicks have won four straight against the Hornets, including a 117-111 victory Nov. 12 in New York. --The Hornets lost for the first time in four games since G Chris Paul returned from an eight-game absence due to a sprained left ankle. --The Hornets had won their last six games at home. --The Hornets made 22-of-25 free throws (88 percent) after making just 59.3 percent of their free throws in their previous three games.
