--Coach Byron Scott said he's considering bringing F Peja Stojakovic off the bench and leaving F Julian Wright in the starting lineup for a few games once Stojakovic returns from a sore back. "It might be a great idea to bring Peja off the bench for a few games because that way I have even more control over his minutes," Scott said. "He can gradually get back in the swing of things rather than being thrown in right away."
--The Hornets have 12 games remaining. Coach Byron Scott said five games would be sufficient time to get his injured players back in game condition, and enough time for him to figure out how to adjust his rotation once Stojakovic and injured center Tyson Chandler get back in the lineup and Wright and Hilton Armstrong return to the bench.
--G Chris Paul was named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played between March 16-22, the conference-leading fourth time he has won the award this season. Paul averaged 28.5 points, 9.5 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.5 steals as the Hornets won three out of four games during the week.
--The Hornets and the Nuggets split the season series with two victories each. The Hornets also finished 2-2 with the Trail Blazers. In other series against Western teams that have been completed, they swept four games from the Thunder, won three out of four against the Grizzlies, won two out of three against the Timberwolves, and lost three of four to the Lakers. The Hornets have 2-0 sweeps of seven Eastern Conference opponents: the Bucks, the Wizards, the 76ers, the Nets, the Pistons, the Pacers, and the Raptors. They split the season series with three Eastern teams -- the Magic, the Cavaliers, and the Bobcats -- and were swept, 2-0 by three teams from the East -- the Bulls, the Celtics, and the Hawks.
