New Orleans Hornets Notes, Quotes 2008-03-31
--Hornets guard Morris Peterson played in Toronto for the first time since joining the Hornets as a free agent in the off-season after playing his first seven seasons with the Raptors. He received a standing ovation when he was introduced. Peterson scored eight points, his highest point total in 11 games.

--The Hornets and the Raptors each had 34 rebounds, the first time in six games that the Hornets were not out-rebounded. "We were beating teams up on the boards earlier in the season," center Tyson Chandler said. "Now, I think they're more confident and aggressive against us on the glass. We've been kind of scrambling on defense the last few games and that can take you out of position. If we're in better position defensively, that will help."

QUOTE TO NOTE: "The Spurs have already won, so we're a half-game back. I guess that means if we win, we'll be a half-game up." -- Center Tyson Chandler, using faulty math prior to the Hornets' win against the Raptors, which tied them at the top of the Southwest Division and the Western Conference with the Spurs, who had taken a half-game lead earlier in the day by beating the Rockets.
